On Wednesday, October 20, 2010, Marion County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on an individual riding an ATV on the highway in Pyatt. The driver of the ATV, Randy Johnson, age 26, of Pyatt, made it to his residence before stopping. Johnson then took his dog and made threatening comments and gestures with the dog, towards the deputies. Johnson, whom appeared to be highly intoxicated, had several alcoholic beverages on his ATV, was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail. While transporting Johnson to jail, he began kicking the door of the patrol car, which caused a substantial amount of damage. Johnson also kicked the deputy in the back of the head, while he was driving. Johnson was charged with Battery 2nd Degree; Aggravated Assault; Criminal Mischief 1st Degree; Resisting Arrest; Disorderly Conduct; DWI; Refusal to Submit to Tests; and Operating an ATV on Public Streets/ Highways. Johnson's bond was set at $1,500.00 in which he posted through a local bail bonds company. Johnson is currently awaiting his first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court. |
