 Jeremiah Hensley |
On November 22, 2011, Jeremiah Hensley, age 30, of Pyatt, was arrested for Aggravated Assault. The arrest stems from when a Marion County Deputy responded to Hensley’s residence, because he called the sheriff’s department to report that his girlfriend, Jessica Padilla, age 25, had stolen his car and a gun.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that Hensley was highly intoxicated and had shot Padilla in the leg, during a domestic disturbance. Prior to the officers’ arrival, Padilla had left the residence but was soon located by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, then transported by ambulance to the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. Padilla was then transferred to St. Johns in Springfield, MO, where she was treated and released.
Hensley is currently incarcerated in the Marion County Jail and awaiting his first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court. The incident is still under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and Arkansas State Police.
