On February 2, 2012, Tyler Slechta, age 20, of Summit, was arrested for: Aggravated Assault on a Correctional Officer, Resisting Arrest, Three counts of Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespassing, Battery in third degree, and Disorderly Conduct.
The arrest stems from when deputies responded to a residence in Yellville, regarding an unidentified male subject, attempting to steal a vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was able to detain the subject, later identified as Slechta, until a deputy arrived. Once the deputy attempted to place Slechta in handcuffs, he began to resist arrest.
Slechta was then transported to the Marion County Jail, where he physically struck the detention officer that was attempting to book him in. Slechta appeared to be extremely under the influence of drugs. Slechta’s bond was set at $7,500.00 and his first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court is scheduled for February 8th, 2012 at 10:00 AM. |
