Former Bull Shoals Police Chief arrested on MC felony warrant

John Wesley Thompson

On Friday, February 10, 2012, former Bull Shoals Police Chief, John Wesley Thompson, age 43, of Swifton, Arkansas, was arrested on a Marion County Felony Warrant for: Theft of Property; Tampering with Evidence; Falsifying a Business Record; and Hindering Apprehension.  Thompson’s bond was set at $50,000.00, in which he posted through a local bonding company.  Thompson is scheduled to appear before the Marion County Circuit Court on March 7th, 2012 at 10:00 AM.  The case is still under investigation and the MCSO is being assisted by the Flippin Police Department and Bull Shoals Police Department.
