On Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Ronald Chaney, age 30; Nicholas Lee, age 19; Zachary McCollum, age 18; and a juvenile; all of Yellville, were arrested for: Three Counts of Commercial Burglary; Felony Theft of Property; and Carrying Weapons. All four subjects were caught on video surveillance breaking in to the Yellville-Summit school on at least three separate occasions, armed with swords, machetes, and air soft guns.

They stole approximately $600 in cash and change; several Apple iPads with accessories; and several two way radios. Much of the property has been recovered. Lee & McCollum's bond was set at $25,000.00. Chaney, a convicted and registered sex offender, was also charged with: Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Failure to Meet Sex Offender Registration Requirements. Chaney’s bond was set at $35,000.00. The juvenile was released to Juvenile Services and transported to a juvenile detention center. Chaney, McCollum, and Lee remain incarcerated in the Marion County jail, awaiting their first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court.  The investigation is still open and other charges are possibly pending.
