On Friday, March 02, 2012, Roger Hicks, age 27, of Yellville, was arrested for Domestic Battery 2nd Degree (Class B Felony) and Domestic Battery 3rd Degree (Class D Felony), bond $25,000.00.
The arrest stems from a report to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office by the Baxter Regional Medical Center of possible child abuse. Upon further investigation it was discovered Hicks had physically abused his wife and his one year old son, whom was taken to the BRMC emergency room for medical treatment.
Hicks was charged with Domestic Battery 2nd degree for the child abuse (Class B Felony) and Domestic Battery 3rd on his wife (Class D Felony), which was a subsequent offense, due to him being convicted for the same thing in 2009.
Hicks remains incarcerated in the Marion County Jail, awaiting his first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division. |
