On Thursday, March 8, 2012, Stacey Rinker, age 44, of Yellville, was arrested for Breaking or Entering (felony); Theft of a schedule two controlled substance (felony); and Possession of a controlled substance (misdemeanor).
The arrest stems from an investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department’s Yellville-Summit School Recourse Officer, when a teacher noticed that medications belonging to a student had been stolen. The teacher then placed a camera on the cabinet, in which the medication was stored and locked. Stacey Rinker, also an employee of the YS school (janitorial department), was caught on video, entering the room, unlocking the medication cabinet, and taking prescription medication that belonged to a student.
Rinker’s bond was set at $5,000.00 in which she posted. Rinker is currently awaiting her first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court. The Sheriff’s Office credits the work of their School Resource Officer and the Yellville-Summit teacher for them being able to follow up with the investigation and make the arrest.
