The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking fugitive W/M Anthony Eugene Lamar, (DOB 11/10/1968). On Thursday, July 19, 2012, at approximately 10:44 AM, a Marion County Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Lamar was driving, in Summit. Upon an ACIC / NCIC check, it was discovered that Lamar had a felony warrant for his arrest out of Greene County, Arkansas, for failing to appear in court on a probation violation and theft charge.
Upon taking Lamar into custody, he fled on foot. Lamar is described as a 43 year old, white male, 5’09” in height, 170 lbs., brown hair, green eyes, and scruffy facial hair. Lamar was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. Assisting in the search was the Arkansas Game and Fish, National Park Service, Department of Correction K9 unit, and Flippin Police Department. Lamar is now facing Marion County charges for felony fleeing, due to an officer getting injured during the pursuit. The officer sought medical attention and was released.
