MCSO seeking couple of interest regarding car thefts

Chris Lamkin

Amy Ladner

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of Chris Lamkin (age 20) and Amy Ladner (age 28), both of Marion County and both persons of interest for the attempted theft of a motor vehicle and the actual theft of a motor vehicle and theft of credit cards from Marion County.  Lamkin and Ladner have been identified attempting to take a vehicle from a local business in Summit on Saturday, August 11th, 2013.  The following day, a vehicle was actually stolen from area of the square in Yellville.  That vehicle was later recovered in Searcy County, Arkansas, where another vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet 4x4 pick-up, extended cab, gray in color, had been stolen from that county.

Later on this same evening a credit card belonging to Marion County residents was used at the Wal-Mart in Clinton, Arkansas.  Video surveillance indicated Lamkin and Ladner used the card and was driving the truck that had been stolen from Searcy County.  The credit card was also used later that night in Pine Bluff. It’s possible that Lamkin and Ladner are in route to either Florida or Mississippi, due to them having ties in those states.  A BOLO has been issued via NCIC / ACIC regarding law enforcement's interest of their whereabouts. Although Lamkin and Ladner were last seen in the stolen Chevy truck, it is unknown what they are currently driving. The matter is still under investigation. If you know the whereabouts of either Lamkin or Ladner please contact your local law enforcement agency.
