Rural Flippin Men Arrested for Burglary, Thefts & Drugs

On Sunday, December 1st, 2013, Marion County Deputies responded to a residence in rural Flippin, which had been burglarized.  Entry to the residence had been forcefully made and numerous items valued at approximately $5,000.00, including several firearms, had been stolen.  On Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013, the Flippin Police Department conducted a traffic stop, resulting in the arrests of Ezra Jones (age 20) and Johnathan Stuebinger (age 20), both of Flippin.  Jones was arrested on an active warrant for failure to pay fines and additionally charged with resisting arrest and fleeing.  Stuebinger was arrested for obstructing governmental operations.  Located in the vehicle of Jones and Stuebinger were several of the items from the December 1st, burglary that was being investigated by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

A joint investigation was then ensued by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Flippin Police Department.  Jones and Stuebinger were questioned by investigators and confessed to the burglary.  Officers’ conducted a search of Jones’ residence and discovered many of the remaining stolen items as well as narcotics and paraphernalia.

Jones was charged with Failure to Pay Fines; Resisting Arrest, Fleeing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Residential Burglary, and Theft of Property; Total Bond $12,011.00.

Stuebinger was charged with Obstructing Governmental Operations, Residential Burglary, Theft of Property, Defacing a Firearm and Possession of a Defaced Firearm; total bond $10,190.00.  The matter is still under investigation and additional arrests could be made.  Assisting was the Flippin Police Department.
