On Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Patricia Mahan, age 24, and Megan Decker, age 25, both of rural Yellville were arrested for theft of property. The arrests stem from an investigation concerning the theft of $10,000.00 cash, from Mahan’s parents. After being questioned about the incident, Patricia went to her parent’s residence and was involved in a domestic dispute. Deputies responded and arrested Patricia for disorderly conduct. Upon her arrest, a small bag of methamphetamine was discovered in Patricia’s pocket. Decker who had been residing with Mahan was also arrested on a felony warrant for “theft by receiving”, $5,000.00 bond. During the investigation, it was discovered that Mahan and Decker stole the money from Mahan’s parents, and spent it on shopping sprees, motel rooms, drugs and a car. Mahan was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Theft of Property, Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; total bond $15,000.00. Decker was arrested on the “Theft by Receiving” warrant in addition to Theft of Property, making her total bond $15,000.00, as well. Mahan and Decker are expected to make their first appearance before the Marion County Circuit Court on December 11th, 2013. Assisting in the investigation was the Flippin Police Department. |
