Marion County Sheriff Vickers states that after two break-ins at the Marion County Road Department his officers developed a suspect and after an investigation arrested a 14 year old juvenile for the crimes.
On January 3, 2014 the Marion County Road Department reported a break in. Then on January 8, 2014 another report of a break-in and vandalism. Two vending machines were damaged and a quantity of items taken from them. The damages to the machines were approximately $7,000.00. A fourteen year old juvenile was arrested on January 17, 2014 and charged with both break-ins. The juvenile was taken to Batesville juvenile detention. He was charged with two counts of Commercial burglary class C Felony, Criminal Mischief two county Class D Felony and Misdemeanor theft of property Class A Misd. The juvenile will make his first court appearance Wednesday January 22, 2014 in Juvenile court on Marion County. |
