PRESS RELEASE
On June 1, 2017, Courtney Rovinsky, age 26, of Yellville was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department for the charges of Terroristic Threatening , a Class D Felony, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor.
At approximately 5:31 a.m., Marion County Deputies responded to the area of MC 6001 in regards to suspicious activity possibly involving a firearm. Deputies made contact with a white sedan and spoke with the two female occupants. Deputies then discovered a small child in a car seat in the back of the vehicle. After further investigation, it was discovered that a female was forced to drive the car at gunpoint until it overheated at the current location. A 9mm pistol was located in Rovinsky’s belongings along with a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The child was unharmed and released into the custody of DHS.
At the time of this release, Rovinsky is being held on a $25,000 Cash bond at the Marion County Jail Facility and is awaiting her first court appearance.
