Home Invasion Press Release

Sheriff Clinton L. Evans announces the arrest of 24 year old Marian Piatchek on felony charges of Aggravated Robbery (Class Y Felony), Residential Burglary (Class B Felony), and Theft (Class A Misdemeanor).

The arrest stems from a call received by the Sheriff’s Office on July 16, 2017 of an altercation at 232 Railroad Trail in Summit, Arkansas. When Deputies arrived, the victims stated they had been beaten and robbed at gunpoint by an individual they identified as W/F Marian Piatchek and two other individuals; one black male and another individual who they could not see due to having a hoodie tightened around their face and gloves on. While Piatchek and the black male conversed with the victims, the other individual came through the door with two (2) handguns and began demanding money. Both victims were as they described “pistol whipped” and received serious injury as a result. All three (3) suspects left the residence in an unknown direction, in an unknown vehicle before Deputies arrived. The suspects made off with a handgun, money, and a cellphone.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office tracked down Piatchek to an address in DeSoto, Missouri, and an affidavit for her arrest was submitted to the court. When the warrant was received, the Jefferson County, Missouri Sheriff’s Office was contacted and asked to assist in locating Piatchek. Piatchek was taken into custody by the Jefferson County Shreriff’s Office where she waived extradition back to Arkansas. On August 2, 2017 Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office travelled to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and extradited Piatchek back to Marion County, where she was booked, processed and incarcerated. Piatchek is currently awaiting her first appearance in the Marion County Circuit Court in lieu of a $10,000.00 cash only bond.  As the investigation continues, additional arrests are expected.
