PRESS RELEASE
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at the residence of James Garvin Ply, age 44, of Summit. He was arrested and charged with two counts of Residential Burglary, which are class B felonies, two counts of Theft of Property, class D felonies, Possession of Methamphetamine with the Purpose to Deliver, a class B felony, four counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, two of which are class D felonies and two class A misdemeanors.
The search of the residence stems from an investigation of a residential burglary which took place in Summit, Arkansas where Ply was identified on camera entering the residence and leaving with property in his hands.
Ply was arrested at his residence during the execution of the search warrant. He was searched before he was transported to jail. Found in possession during the search was suspected methamphetamine, along with other controlled substances.
At the time of this release, Ply is incarcerated at the Marion County Jail Facility in lieu of a $20,000 bond and is awaiting his first appearance in Marion County Circuit Court. Additional arrests are expected to be filed.
